Every time I go here, I order the same meal, which is the Fried Salmon with Crunchy Rice. I have yet to see any other restaurant make crunchy rice the way they do. That or this restaurant was one of the first to do so years back. The food quality has stayed consistent for the nearly 10+ years this restaurant has been in business. I keep coming back just for this Fried Salmon meal. Service is mediocre. The restaurant environment and ambiance are lacking, but the meal itself is worth it. The price is well worth the quality of the food. It is best to eat inside the restaurant, that way the rice stays crunchy. You also get a free sweetened drink with every meal. Summary: - BATHROOM. It is a one-person-only bathroom. - CLEANLINESS. The restaurant's interior is pretty old. The furniture and tables aren't the nicest or modern-looking, but it's decent enough. - COSTS. Very affordable for the portion of food given. I think eating in person will have a large portion compared to to-go because the container package limits the amount. Around ~$15 per meal. - CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lacking. They only see you once for the order and once for the bill. - FOOD QUALITY. The ingredients are fresh and always crispy. Eat there in person so you can savor the moment! - FOOD QUANTITY. A decently sized portion. You will get full from any one meal. - WAIT TIME. Around 10 minutes for the crunchy salmon with crispy rice. This was even during peak lunch time, so it is pretty quick.

This is one of my favorite places to get com bo luc lac (shaken beef) in the area! I like to order it with the hot pot rice, since I love crispy rice. The beef itself is super hot, fresh and flavorful. I've been coming to this location for years and it never disappoints. They also give you free nuoc mat (with free refills) with your meal as well, which is a plus!

It's an old charm with good food. Been here twice as we have to drive 40+ minutes to get here. I love the crispy rice with salmon. We also ordered noodle soup on the side, opt for just fish cake only and they can accommodate. Came at Thursday dinner, the place pretty pack, but the service still alright. We didn't need to wait long for the food. Will be back again!

My boss brought me here after I gave her a ride to an appointment. We got the salmon with hot pot rice. The salmon was perfectly fried and the hot pot rice was crispy and delicious as well. It came with two dipping sauces. A thicker gravy like sauce and then a spicy soy sauce like sauce. I ate every single bite!!!!! You get a free order of nuoc mat which is an artichoke and pandan tea which is delicious!

Luc Dinh Ky Tap 1 is legendary and it's a Little Saigon institution. It's a no frills restaurant with some of the best Vietnamese food around, including some great Bo Luc Lac and Pho Ap Chao. The food comes out in an instant and the prices are great for the portion sizes. My go-to is the Bo Luc Lac with Burnt Rice + Lap Xuong. Every meal comes with free Nuoc Mac, which is undeniably refreshing.
